In this mini-series of artworks, artist Doug pays homage to one of his greatest inspirations, Fernand Leger. Leger, a remarkable figure in the world of art, was a French painter, sculptor, and filmmaker who played a pivotal role in shaping the style of art known today as Pop Art.
His innovative approach and unique contributions earned him the distinction of being considered a trailblazer and the forerunner of this popular art movement.
Born in 1881 and passing away in 1955, Leger embarked on a creative journey that began with his development of a distinctive form of cubism known as “tubism.”
