Doug Kemp was born in 1939 in Bath because of wartime evacuation and was raised in Walthamstow in the East End of London. Doug’s unique style of fine art draws reference from personal experience, the USA (particularly Chicago) comic book art, pop art, post industrialist (modern art), film noir, art-deco and gangster movies made in the 1930s & 1940s.
