Doug Kemp was born in 1939 because of wartime evacuation and raised in Walthamstow in the East end of London. Doug has a modern style of fine art which draws reference from personal experience, the USA (New York & Chicago) comic book heroes art, pop art, post industrialist (modern art), film noir, art-deco and gangster movies made in the 1930s & 1940s.
