Doug was born in Bath in 1939 and raised in Walthamstow in London. His unique style of fine art draws reference from personal experience, the USA (particularly Chicago) comic book art, pop art, post industrialist (modern art), film noir, art-deco and gangster movies made in the 1930s & 1940s.
