Doug Kemp was born in Bath in 1939 because of a wartime evacuation and raised in Walthamstow in the east end of London. Has a unique style of post-industrialist art that draws reference from personal experience, the USA (particularly Chicago) comic book art, pop art, modern art, film noir, art-deco and gangster movies made in the 1930s & 1940s.
