Born in 1939, Doug-Kemp is the same age as Superman, and has grown up alongside the evolution of comic book art, which has become a medium as inspirational and impactful as classical art and other art forms.

What’s the difference between for you between a DC and Marvel?

DC Comics and Marvel Comics are the two biggest comic book publishers in the world while they both produce superhero stories there are some key differences. DC Comics is known for its iconic characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash, while Marvel Comics is known for characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and the X-Men.

DC are earlier in terms of the art and one of first characters was Batman and thwn Superman came up in 1939.

DC comic stories tend to be darker and more serious while Marvel comic stories are more lighthearted and often have a humorous tone.

Artists Working In Comic Art

Stan Lee. Marvel Comics has some really good artists working for them but a style that was 20 years later, as it were, and when they came out it was the early 60s mostly, and the styles have changed and the characters have too. The Golden Age of comics is generally recognised as between 39 to mid 50s.

So it is that you have it that in PopArtDoug you are more of a DC art and stories fan and this is because they are less Monumental and darker and more ordinary, so you tend to slightly prefer DC over Marvel?
